In Contemplation and Reflection...

2 Timothy 2:15
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
Paul spoke to young Timothy while.. alas..
he waited for him to..."come before winter...".  Paul, in spite of being well learned under Gamaliel, was blunt but not arrogant. He and Timothy built a relationship that was so important to Paul that he spoke of Timothy as"my son in the faith" (1Timothy 1:2).   The Gospel Message in meant to be shared.
Jesus made it clear on his leaving. Jesus' ultimate command to his followers is to go out to every corner of the world and share the good news of his salvation. Christians today continue to carry out that charge through personal evangelism and mission work.

Paul spent time in his missionary journeys answering questions and sharing the teachings
of Jesus.  No less should we prepare to be His witness each day.

O Lord...
But for those few
who
find time for me...
If for only for a moment God
If only in the ordinary
and with limited flash...
but a sincere love for Your people...
Grant that I should say the right word
smile the right smile
and complete the ultimate call...
that one apart from you
would find a cleansing in the heart
that any number of yours
would rekindle the flame
for service and sharing...
all in Your name
and for the preparing
of eternity in Your presence.

Gary Roberts is a born again believer in Jesus Christ and one who cherishes study, words, and teaching. He is retired on disability, but looks to each day as a special time to study. Gary is currently a member of Fountain Baptist Church. Past relationships with Aversboro Road Baptist - Garner, NC and Holly Hill Baptist - Burlington, NC have been very rewarding with a teaching and card ministry. Thus, Gary's background is conservative Southern Baptist. His beliefs nor his teaching are politically motivated and only a love for the Lord and His Word is at the forefront.
