A Time for Quiet....

1 Chronicles 4:40 (NIV)

40 They found rich, good pasture, 
and the land was spacious, peaceful and quiet....

The richness of our land

holds forth breathtaking views.

Our time with special ones..

Those we choose

to reside close to our hearts

Those whose bring quiet and joy...

and become such a major part

of our day...

leading us to a "holding" instead

of "holding on."

"EXCEPT"

Except for the secrets one holds dear to heart.

Except for the tender love one might share.

This world might well be one easy to part...

except for the hope there will be one who cares.

Except for the sea breeze and stars up high.

Except for the smile a loved one might wear.

This world might be one left with a sigh...

except for the hope there will be one who cares.

Except for the gentle rain or snow covered ground.

Except for the loving touch of a mother so dear.

This world would be so very loosely bound...

except for the hope there will be one who cares.

Except for the reminder each day that we live

Except for the hand extended by the Son

This world would be one with little desire to give

Except for the victory so costly won.

Except for the hold of God on lives

Except for the relationships forever we treasure

This world would hold little if any final prize.

Except for the love of God without measure.

Then if exceptions mark days

And hope marks each hour

This world holds so much for so many...

When faced for His glory and experienced in His power.

May God work with us out of His marvelous Grace

As we face

Each day...

Thankful for our blessings

And holding dearly to His promise

To be with us...even until the end of the age.
