Christmas Revisited !

A Time for Quiet...
         Christmas Revisited...

Why can't it be all year?
A spirit of love...and full hearts.
A hope for tomorrow.
One who brought compassion to law.
One born to save
and who created and lit up the heavens.

Why can't it be all year?
The air of celebration and cheer
which runs throughout a community.
One of warm living rooms, decorated homes
and green and red sweaters.

Why can't it be all year?
A coming together of family and friends...
the singing, the gifts, and cards we send
One bringing about reconciliation many times...
and yes...the elementary rhymes
but with so marvelous a meaning.

It's not the decorations or gifts to stay.
It's that ecstatic feeling on Christmas morn..
The gathering for fellowship on that special eve.
It's the good wishes and a settling Peace...
Why can't it be all year?

Gary Roberts is a born again believer in Jesus Christ and one who cherishes study, words, and teaching. He is retired on disability, but looks to each day as a special time to study. Gary is currently a member of Fountain Baptist Church. Past relationships with Aversboro Road Baptist - Garner, NC and Holly Hill Baptist - Burlington, NC have been very rewarding with a teaching and card ministry. Thus, Gary's background is conservative Southern Baptist. His beliefs nor his teaching are politically motivated and only a love for the Lord and His Word is at the forefront.
